We are excited to announce this long awaited course in our Windows Server 2008 series. Whether you're a beginner or experienced in networking and administration, this course covers Active Directory in depth as you configure your own Server 2008 Network!NOTE:While Active Directory or Network+ level of experience is helpful, it is not required. Certification is not required. Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certifications replace the MCSE and MCSA certifications for Server 2003.

"Am I qualified to take this course?"
![]()
YES! Whether you're a total beginner who has no Server 2008 experience or hoping to update and improve your skills, you'll benefit from this in-depth course
"Do I need any special equipment to complete this training course?"
![]()
NO! All you need is a computer with Internet Explorer and a media player; however, working hands-on with a Windows Server 2008 computer may enhance your training experience.
"Is this course part of any Microsoft certification track?"
![]()
YES! This course will help you prepare for the 83-640 Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Lab Based exam. Although the 83-640 exam has its own MCTS certification, it is also part of the MCITP Server Administrator and MCITP Enterprise Administrator certification tracks.
"Will this course prepare me for the lab based 83-640 Windows Server 2008 Active Directory exam?"
![]()
YES! This course will help you prepare for the lab based 83-640 Windows Server 2008 Active Directory exam, which will gradually replace the 70-640 exam. The study objectives are the same for both exams (70-640 and 83-640); the content has not changed, just the format.
NOTE: The 83–640 exam has replaced the 70–640 exam in select countries only, including the United States. In areas where the 83–640 exam hasn’t been released, test–takers will take the 70–640 exam. Both versions count equally toward certification. Be sure to know which exam is offered in your area.
NOTE: While Active Directory or Network+ level of experience is helpful, it is not required. Certification is not required. Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) certifications replace the MCSE and MCSA certifications for Server 2003.
